Where in the world?
St Albans, Hertfordshire
I have lived in St Albans for some time and now have a family. We are well settled here
The city is old, with wonderful examples of mixed architecture over the ages co-existing and creating a fascinating environment in which to live. When I go out running, I still discover alleyways, roads that I didn’t know existed.
One of these I became aware of when a wonderful boutique development was completed in 2009. Only thing was, it as gated and there was no entry, but it was a converted Victorian warehouse in the centre. I made a note to myself to keep my eyes open should it ever come to the market.
Some 4 years later, I had just made the big leap in deciding to leave full time employment and start doing my own thing. And as I’m continually finding, when you are able to take a leap into the unknown, the universe finds a way to open doors!
These opened to a property auction. After a month of high tension I was the proud owner of the penthouse apartments!
A little oasis in a bustling historic city.
